Djoliba AC has been crowned champion of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 Orange Mali season, securing the club's record-extending 24th league title. The trophy was presented on June 5, 2026, at the Stade Mamadou Konaté in Bamako, under FEMAFOOT president Mahazou dit Baba Cissset. Djoliba finished the 26-match season with 59 points — nine clear of Stade Malien — after 18 wins, 5 draws, and just 3 losses.
The champions scored 41 goals while conceding only 12, a goal difference of +29, the best defensive record in the league.
Stade Malien finished second on 50 points (14 wins, 8 draws, 4 losses) and AS Real Bamako third on 49 points (14 wins, 7 draws, 5 losses). Stade Malien, the defending champions, pushed Djoliba until the final weeks but fell short by nine points. Diarra took fourth with 44 points, Binga FC fifth on 43, and USFAS sixth on 42.
The bottom three — FC Mali Coura (20 points), US Bougouni (16), and Onze Créateurs (26) — face relegation pressure ahead of next season.
The final matchday on June 13-14 saw Djoliba defeat ASKO 3-1 away. Stade Malien secured second with a 2-0 win over Diarra, while AS Real Bamako crushed US Bougouba 4-0. Bakaridjan beat US Bougouni 4-1, USFAS edged FC Mali Coura 2-1, and AFE won 2-1 over Derby Académie. Binga FC and Onze Créateurs drew 0-0.
Mahazou dit Baba Cissset praised Djoliba AC for their 24th championship, stating: "This remarkable achievement demonstrates the strength of Malian football. Djoliba has set a standard of excellence all clubs should aspire to." The trophy ceremony at Stade Mamadou Konaté brought together players, officials, and thousands of supporters.
Djoliba's championship earns qualification to the CAF Champions League. Stade Malien and AS Real are also expected to compete in continental tournaments. Meanwhile, Mali's national team climbed to 55th in the FIFA World Rankings as of June 2026, though Les Aigles lost 2-0 to Iran in a June 4 friendly. The women's team drew 0-0 and 2-2 with Burkina Faso in WAFCON qualifiers on June 4 and 7.
For Libyan football fans, Djoliba's 24 titles represent one of African football's most decorated records. The tight race — just 10 points separating the top three — shows the growing quality of West African football.
With the season concluded, FEMAFOOT has already issued a call for its official equipment supplier, signaling early preparations for 2026-2027. Clubs will begin pre-season training in coming months, with the new campaign expected in late November or December 2026. Djoliba will defend their title while Stade Malien and AS Real aim to reclaim the championship.
