According to organisers, the festival's draw for various competitions was held on Thursday, July 23, setting the stage for a series of tournaments spanning multiple disciplines.
The festival programme includes a handball league, a volleyball tournament for people with special needs, a swimming race, and a cross-fit competition. In addition to the sporting events, organisers have prepared a range of games and recreational activities specifically designed for children, ensuring the festival caters to all age groups.
"The idea was to create a space where families could escape the pressures of daily life and the summer heat, and enjoy the sea breeze in a safe, entertaining environment," a local organiser told Libya Press.
Yadr Cycling Marathon: First Edition Wraps Up Successfully
The conclusion of the Touba Beach Festival's opening weekend coincided with the finale of the first-ever Yadr Cycling Marathon, which had launched on Wednesday, July 22. The marathon, centred around cycling races across multiple age categories, proved to be a highlight of Misrata's summer calendar.
The cycling event began on Friday evening from Abu Dhar Al-Ghifari School, with participants divided into junior age groups followed by senior categories. The route took cyclists toward the coast, running alongside the shoreline before culminating at "Masham Al-Khail" — a scenic finish line that drew cheers from spectators lining the course.
Organisers reported good participation across all categories, with the event fostering a spirit of competition and community engagement. The marathon was accompanied by accompanying sports activities, including a beach volleyball league.

The "Farah" troupe performed a variety of entertainment segments, including interactive games and movement-based activities for children and adults alike.
