Premium long-grain Sela rice is priced at 17 LYD per kg, and long-grain Abu Bint rice at 12 LYD per kg. No daily changes were recorded across all flour and rice products.
Pasta prices range from 2.25 LYD for 400g packs (Al-Fida, Al-Reihan, Al-Safwa, Al-Baraka) to 4.5 LYD for 500g of Jid pasta. Couscous prices stand at 6.25 LYD per kg for Al-Warda Al-Bayda and 8.5 LYD for Diari brand. Cooking oil prices are stable: sunflower oil at 11.5 LYD per 850ml, corn oil at 12.5 LYD, local olive oil at 46 LYD per liter, and imported olive oil at 67 LYD per liter. Table salt is at 1 LYD per kg, and Al-Safwa sugar at 4.5 LYD per kg.
Tomato paste prices are consistent at 4.5 LYD per 400g for Jid and Bety brands, and 4 LYD for Al-Reihan. Tuna prices vary from 5 LYD for 140g of Al-Safina to 12.5 LYD for 160g of Calvo in olive oil. Jam prices are at 13 LLD for 800g of Al-Waha and 16 LYD for 860g of Vitrak. Sterilized milk prices range from 6 LYD per liter (Joudi, Al-Zahrat) to 6.5 LYD (Al-Naseem, Al-Reihan). Al-Naseem plain milk is at 6 LYD per liter. Yogurt prices are between 0.75 LYD for small cups (Al-Naseem, Delis) and 2.25 LYD for Zowitz. Triangle cheese ranges from 3.25 LYD (Al-Rabi'a, 8 pieces) to 3.75 LYD (Abu Al-Waled, 8 pieces). Block cheese prices are at 38 LYD per kg for German mozzarella and 36 LYD for Dutch cheddar. Goldina butter is at 6.75 LYD per 200g, vegetable ghee (Asil) at 96 LYD per kg, and Al-Hanem vegetable ghee at 18.5 LYD per 700g.
The price bulletin shows remarkable stability across nearly all basic food commodities in Libyan markets today, with zero daily changes on most items. The only exception is green tea, which saw a modest 1.64% increase. This stability comes as Libyan authorities continue efforts to regulate markets and combat smuggling, particularly in the southern regions where recent security campaigns have dismantled illegal fuel stations and smuggling networks. Consumers across Tripoli, Benghazi, Sabha, and other major cities can use this price list as a reference for their daily grocery shopping.
